Ethically made
Hand embroidered by artisan communities onto 100% linen. The customary Hebrew blessing “Shana Tova” invoking “A good New Year”, sit in the center. Design includes symbols of blessing and abundance related to Rosh Hashanah, such as pomegranates, fish and olive branches. The Fish reminds us to be as the head and not as the tail - to live as leaders with intention. The Pomegranate is said to have 613 seeds, equal to the number of our Mitzvot. We customarily eat round Challah, and use a round cover during the entire month of Tishrei, symbolizing the wholeness and cyclical nature of our year. The Round shape is also reminiscent of a royal crown, directing our attention to the Ultimate King.
This Round Challah cover is embroidered and finished completely by hand. Due to the nature of this construction, variations will be evident in each textile and yours may differ slightly from the piece photographed. These variations are not flaws, but the "beauty marks" of owning a completely hand made, one-of-a-kind textile.
